Who Will Be the Next James Bond?

Daniel Craig has yet to announce that he’s leaving his role as James Bond but it won’t be long before a new 007 is needed. Craig has been a big hit as Bond even though he’s blonde. Bond is one of the top roles in the movie industry, so who is looking likely to become the next 007?

A License to Kill for Hiddleston?

Tom Hiddleston is the current favourite to become the next James Bond. He’s best known for playing Loki in the ‘The Avengers’ and ‘Thor’ movies. Playing the evil Loki isn’t the main reason why he’s 5/2 (3.5) at Ladbrokes, his appearance in ‘The Night Manager’ is. He was a massive hit in that series and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was offered the chance to play Bond in the future.

Madden Mania

If ‘The Night Manager’ was a massive hit for the BBC, ‘Bodyguard’ was an even larger one. The series had viewers all over the world hooked, wondering just what was going to happen next.

The series has certainly made everyone stand up and notice its star Richard Madden who had previously played Robb Stark in ‘Game of Thrones.’ With another ‘Bodyguard’ series on the way, his popularity can only continue to grow. He’s 3/1 (4.0) at Coral to be the next Bond.

A Female Bond?

If we can have a female Doctor Who, then could we next see Bond being played by a woman? Actresses such as Gillian Anderson and Vicky McClure have joked about playing the part. Even British PM Theresa May has reportedly said there should be a female James Bond one day.

Just how a woman gets to become Bond isn’t clear, though Anderson suggested a change to Jane Bond. Anderson is 100/1 (101.0) to be the next Bond but it’s only 12/1 (13.0) at Ladbrokes that a female is cast in the role.
