Quickspin founder and current Chief Product Officer at the company, Joachim Timmermans, is to leave the organisation he set up with Daniel Lindberg and Mats Westerlund in 2011.

Timmermans made the announcement that he would be leaving the company, which has been owned by Playtech since 2016, in a post on LinkedIn.

Speaking about his decision to leave, Timmermans pointed to the fact that the company is continuing to grow in terms of people and revenue, but that he has played his part. He also thanked the staff at Quickspin for their commitment and thanked a number of figures in the industry, including Raf Keustermans, Jodi Moran and Gerald Tan, who collaborated with Quickspin during the company’s successful relationship with Facebook, which saw it launch the social game Mirrorball Slots.

He also found time to thank another industry organisation, gaming platform company Relax, who collaborated with Quickspin over a number of years:

“Another milestone in our journey was the relationship with Relax. We needed a platform, they needed customers; we formed the perfect match. Thanks Daniel Eskola for setting up this relationship and Patrik Österåker for the support all these years.”

Timmermans concluded his message by thanking all of the gaming operators who had supported the company over the years, and the company’s customers.
