Sports data company Sportradar and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) have agreed a renewal of their successful integrity partnership.

The deal will be extended for an additional three years, and the newly-created Liga Reveleção will also now form part of the contract between the two bodies.

Under the current terms of the arrangement, Sportradar are already responsible for monitoring the third tier of Portuguese football – the Campeonato de Portugal, as well as the first two rounds of the Taça de Portugal and the Liga Sportzone Futsal division, as part of the FPF’s efforts to tackle match-fixing and other integrity problems. And the extended relationship now means that the Liga Reveleção, which is an under-23 division set up to showcase the country’s best young talent, will also be watched over by Sportradar’s integrity service.

Speaking about the deal, the Executive Director of Sportradar Integrity Services, Andreas Krannich, said that the company was fully committed to assisting the FPF:

“Our relationship with the FPF in the last three years has demonstrated its continued commitment to the integrity of Portuguese football. We are happy to extend this partnership, which now includes the monitoring of games for the new under-23 competition, the Liga Reveleção.”

As the governing body of Portuguese football, the FPF has worked with Sportradar since 2017. It is responsible for running the majority of competitions in Portugal, including the Campeonato Nacional de Seniores, the Taça de Portugal, and the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.
