The operator of the Czech Republic’s national lottery, Sazka, had announced that it will be extending its sportsbook arrangement with gambling software provider SB Tech.
The agreement was originally struck back in 2016, and according to Sazka, has enabled them to produce substantial revenue gains despite the fact that the company has operated in a tough competitive environment, that has included a number of international rivals, particularly since the Czech Republic government passed new regulations that liberalised the online and land-based gambling sector at the beginning of 2017.
The sportsbook used by Sazka and produced by SBTech includes player safety and security features and is designed around event coverage and a flexible bonus engine. It also incorporates a front-end design that was created specifically for the Czech market.
Speaking about the news of the multi-year extension to their deal, the Chief Commercial Officer at SBTech, Andrew Cochrane, said the company was happy to be extending their relationship with one of the leading lottery companies in Europe:
“Sazka has achieved remarkable growth by embracing innovation, while also maintaining the highest standards of player safety and corporate and social responsibility.”
With the regulated Czech market likely to continue to grow in the long-term, Sazka will be aiming to maintain and increase their market share. Commenting on the deal, the CEO of the company, Robert Chvatal, said that the arrangement with SBTech has enabled them to grow significantly during the last two years, and that they anticipated further growth in the years to come.
