Burnley are slipping down the Premier League table and a relegation battle is looking a distinct possibility. They are on a losing run and that may well continue when hosting third placed Leicester City this Sunday.
Burnley are down to 15th in the Premier League and that’s only three points above the relegation zone. It’s 7/2 (4.5) at Ladbrokes that they go down this season and after losing each of their last four league games, they desperately need to get some points and soon.
Seven of their last nine league games have been lost. With this fixture being followed by games against Manchester United, Arsenal and Southampton, there are some worrying times ahead for them. A win over Leicester City would be a major boost and you can get odds of 17/5 (4.4) at Paddy Power on them winning this match and ending a run of four losses in their last five home league games.
Leicester City are in third place but the rest of their season is going to be about clinching a top four place and winning the Carabao Cup. City are 16 points behind leaders Liverpool but 11 ahead of fifth placed Manchester United.
The Foxes have lost three of their last five league games to end whatever title challenge they had. Those games were lost to the top two and in-form Southampton, so not a total disgrace.
City have strong away form though with six wins in the last seven in the Premier League. You can get 5/6 (1.83) on a win at Turf Moor for Leicester, if placing your bet with William Hill.
Burnley have won two of their last three home games against Leicester . There have been under 2.5 goals scored in four of the last six home games against the Midlanders. The odds on that stat coming up on Sunday are 1/1 (2.0) at BetVictor.
Burnley will be without striker Ashley Barnes this weekend but Mark Wood is expected to be fit. Wood can be backed at odds of 17/10 (2.7) with Coral to score in this game. Leicester will be without Wilfred Ndidi.
Leicester City continue to be a threat on the road and up against Burnley can get three points here. The home side are in terrible form and their defence is unlikely to cope with Leicester. An away win with over 1.5 goals in the game has odds of 13/10 (2.3) at Paddy Power.
