Major US broadcaster NBC Sports are set to launch a new national sports betting radio show in 2019 as the sports betting industry in the US continues to grow.

The Daily Line will be broadcast direct from the NBC Sports Washington studio and will be hosted by Washington anchor man Michael Jenkins and Tim Murray of SB Nation Radio.

The show, which launches on January 2, will feature sports news and statistics, but it will also aim to provide more specialist gambling input through guest gamblers and odds compilers, and there will be a regular round-up of betting results, focusing on major winners and losers.

Speaking to the Washington Post about the new show, Jenkins said that the key will be to make it engaging for those who are new to sports betting:

“I don’t think anyone expects me to give a deep dive into my algorithm or spread sheets. I’ve been to Vegas like 15 times. I love to gamble, but I’m not a degenerate gambler. We want to have conversations with the average sports fans.”

Jenkins is an experienced broadcaster in the sports world. He anchors NBC’s daily half-hour news broadcast, SportsNet Central, in which he offers an entertaining and detailed account of the latest top stories, and as a reporter, he has covered many of US sports top stories.

NBC’s new show follows the launch of the broadcaster’s new free-to-play NBC Sports Predictor game, which offers US sports fans the chance to win prizes through a mobile game app.
