Football stock market company Football Index has expanded its sponsorship reach through a shirt-sponsorship deal with League Two football club, Notts County.

The deal runs throughout January 2019 and will involve the company logo appearing on the front of the Notts County shirts for important home games against Cambridge and Newport County and for the club’s away fixtures against Colchester, Yeovil and Oldham.

Officially licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, Football Index is the first ‘football stock market’ in the world, offering the ability to buy and sell footballers using real money.

The deal with Notts County is another significant football partnership for Football Index, which also has an arrangement with Bristol Rovers, and which works with football figures such as Guillem Balague and John Motson, who has been signed up as the voice of the company’s advertising on television and radio for the duration of the 2018/19 season.

Founder and CEO of Football Index, Adam Cole, said that his company was delighted to have made the deal with one of the most historical football clubs in the world:

“The League Two side have some of the most passionate and loyal fans in football and we see this as a great opportunity to raise our profile and look forward to supporting them to victory.”

Kirsty Edwards, the Commercial Director at Notts County, said that the club was pleased to have formed a partnership and praised Football Index for their innovative betting product.
