It was good and bad news for these sides in the weekend’s FA Cup ties. Derby County lost away at Brighton and Hove Albion to exit the tournament. Millwall made it to the last eight with victory at AFC Wimbledon. Now they return to the Championship and it’s Derby who desperately need the three points.

Derby County’s FA Cup run is over, so now they can concentrate fully on making the promotion play-offs. Frank Lampard’s side are seventh in the table, a place and two points behind the final play-off position. They are currently 11/2 (6.5) at Betfred to win promotion but will have played a game more than sixth-placed Bristol City after this match.
County have 15 league games left and not until the final two of the season do they meet a team currently above them in the table. They are on an unbeaten run of four league games since a loss at Leeds United last month. Millwall are only one game away from an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley but needs points for different reasons. The Londoners are 20th in the Championship, two places and two points above the relegation zone. They have two games in hand on teams down at the bottom due to their cup run.
