Steph Curry was the talk of the game on Monday Night against the Los Angeles Lakers, but for the wrong reason. Despite his teammate Klay Thompson scoring 44 points on just 20 shots, Curry dominated the headlines with a miscue.

Late in the 3rd quarter, with the Lakers leading by a large margin, Steph Curry recovered a steal and was alone for a dunk. As he went for the attempt he slipped and fell to the ground. Steph later regained the ball, and the possession went even worse from there.

While it may not have been that big of a play in the game, with the Warriors winning big, it became huge as Shaquille O’Neal used it as a laughing moment on Twitter. He tweeted the mistake, and of course, the video went viral and allowed for a few laughs in the Warriors locker room after the game.

The win was the 8th straight for the Warriors, who lead the Western Conference with their 33-14 record. Curry finished the game with 11 points and 12 assists. The Lakers played the game without the services of both their point guards Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo, while their star LeBron James missed yet another game.

The Warriors were -13 coming into the game, so Warrior’s bettors, who saw the team leading by 30 after three sweat out a 4th quarter in which the Lakers won 31-20. The total was listed at 233, and the teams hit 241, again sweating it late, as the Warriors scored a game low 20 points in the 4th.

The back-to-back champion Warriors are favorites in Vegas to win a third straight NBA Championship. Current odds have them listed as -190 to win it all. Golden State will go on the road for their third consecutive game on Thursday at the Washington Wizards.
