Coral have launched a new free-to-play (FTP) darts game in conjunction with SportCaller to coincide with the start of the PDC World Darts Championships.

The game is part of the company’s new £1m Smart Money Series, which they aim to continue throughout 2019, and asks players to tackle ten of what it describes as ‘prediction teasers’ focused on the darts action at the Alexandra Palace. Players will have the chance to enter and even change their answers right up to the closing date on December 22. All entrants who get ten questions right – including naming the winner of the tournament – will win a share of a £100,000 prize fund.

The new game follows the success of Coral’s FTP competitions earlier this year, related to the football World Cup in Russia and the start of the 2018-19 Premier League. Those competitions were powered by SportCaller and Coral has once again linked up with the gaming developer to produce a platform that can be used to create similar competitions across a range of sports.

Speaking about the new series, the Head of Product Innovation at Coral, Tim Dykes, said that he was confident that the new games would help attract new customers to Coral, and emphasised the vital role that SportCaller have played in developing the product:

“Ideas are the easy bit, bringing them to life is the challenge – and that’s where SportCaller have consistently delivered for us, in terms of slick UX, clean integration and reliable performance.”
