Spanish betting company Codere has announced that it will be the first official games partner for the NBA in Mexico. As part of the deal, the link with the NBA will be promoted across retail stores throughout the country, as well as on the website platform of both organizations, and all of the social media platforms used by NBA Mexico.

Speaking about the new deal, the Director of Marketing at Codere, Angel Fernandez, said that the company’s association with the NBA would enable them to offer better experiences for their customers and that it also underlined their values. Codere is currently one of the largest sports game operators in Mexico, and the new arrangement is likely to enhance their position.

Under the terms of the arrangement, Codere has also been named as an associated partner for the NBA Mexico City Games 2018, in which Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic played regular season games in the City Arena of the Mexican capital. This is the third consecutive year in which the NBA has played regular season games in Mexico City, and the 27th and 28th NBA game to be played in Mexico, the largest market for the NBA outside the US and Canada.

The NBA deal will also allow Codere to use NBA news and branding as part of their online sports betting product and in all of their Mexican betting venues. Codere will also work closely with the NBA to help protect the integrity of the game.
